Cartilage and bone health are important for long term wellbeing.
Jointace® Collagen has been developed by Vitabiotics nutritional experts and provides unique combinations of trace minerals, vitamins and nutrients, ideal for those with an active life, in sport or in later life.
Jointace® Collagen provides a high-grade collagen which is hydrolysed to improve absorption and unlike some sources of collagen it contains high levels of the key amino acid hydroxylysine.
Collagen is a structural protein found in several connective tissues in the body including bones, cartilage, gums, skin, tendons and blood vessels.
- Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of bones and cartilage.
- Copper contributes to the maintenance of normal connective tissues and therefore can be beneficial to cartilage (as cartilage is made up of connective tissues).
- Vitamin D3, zinc and manganese all help to maintain normal bone. Vitamin D3 is provided in its Cholecalciferol form as naturally produced by the body on exposure to sunlight.
Along with trace minerals for extra nutritional support, Jointace® Collagen provides Glucosamine present in the preferred potassium form, and a high quality LMW (low molecular weight) form of Chondroitin.
Jointace® Collagen tablets contain the following active ingredients per two tablets: Type II Crodaflex Collagen (300mg); Glucosamine Sulphate 1000 mg; Chondroitin Sulphate 100 mg; Vitamin E 40 mg; Vitamin D (800 IU) 20 mcg; Vitamin C 60 mg; Folic Acid 400 mcg; Vitamin B12 20 mcg; Zinc 10 mg; Manganese 4 mg; Copper 1 mg; Selenium 120 mcg; Ginger Root extract 80 mg. Jointace® Collagen tablets are free from artificial colourings, gluten, preservatives, sugar, salt and yeast. Jointace® Collagen tablets have not been tested on animals.
Two tablets per day are recommended with or immediately after your main meal, with water or a cold drink, and not tea or coffee as this may cause the tablets to disintegrate too early. Jointace® Collagen tablets should not be chewed. Taking the tablets with a large meal maximises the absorption of the nutrients and can reduce nausea, which is sometimes experienced if vitamin supplements are taken on an empty stomach.
Jointace® Collagen tablets have no known side-effects when taken as directed. Do not exceed the recommended intake. In case of overdose, seek medical advice immediately. Jointace® Collagen tablets may not be suitable for use by those allergic to fish or shellfish. Diabetics and those using blood thinning medication (e.g. warfarin) should consult their doctor before using this product.
